Safe Haven Museum & Education Center – America’s only shelter for Nazi Holocaust survivors during World War II. Starr Clark Tin Shop – Starr Clark ran a nice little business in Mexico in the 1850s, a tin shop in the village of Mexico, a famed stop on the Underground Railroad, it is being refurbished to become a museum. H. Lee White Marine Museum – in the Historic Maritime District of Oswego, NY. Preserving and presenting the maritime history of the Oswego harbor and surrounds Fort Ontario State Historic Site – French & Indian War. Underground artillery casemates and rifle galleries, Powder Magazine, East and West Guardhouses, Storehouse, and ramparts, featuring magnificent views of Lake Ontario, are available for touring. Salmon River Hatchery – Salmon River Fish Hatchery specializes in raising steelhead, chinook salmon, coho salmon, brown trout and landlocked salmon. Originally constructed to revive and enhance the fishery of the Great Lakes, this facility provides most of the fish for the now multi-million dollar Lake Ontario and Erie. Salmon River International Sport Fishing Museum – The Gladding International Sport Fishing Museum, believed to be the nations first sport fishing museum. Rosmond-Gifford Zoo – The Rosamond-Gifford Zoo is now home to approximately 700 animals on 43 acres.
